Co-written and directed by Jorge R. Gutierrez and produced by Guillermo del Toro, The Book of Life will be arriving in theaters on October 17, 2014 and 20th Century Fox has just unveiled a brand new colorful trailer for the animated comedy. Gutierrez assembled a voice cast that includes Christina Applegate, Ice Cube, Hector Elizondo, Diego Luna, Zoë Saldana, and Channing Tatum.
The Plot:
The Book of Life, a vibrant fantasy-adventure, tells the legend of Manolo, a conflicted hero and dreamer who sets off on an epic quest through magical, mythical and wondrous worlds in order to rescue his one true love and defend his village.
