Diego Boneta on Rock of Ages and His Singing Career

Diego Boneta picked up the “Rising Star of 2012” award at the 2012 CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Nevada, and before taking the stage to collect the honor, he took part in a small press conference to talk about his upcoming film, Rock of Ages. Boneta explained how he handled his first feature film, singing tunes from the ’80s, working with Tom Cruise and the rest of the big-name cast, and his singing career.

The Plot:
 
Rock of Ages takes place in Hollywood in 1987 and follows a small town girl who meets and falls for a young rocker with the help of classic ’80s tunes by Styx, REO Speedwagon, Journey, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison and Whitesnake.
