Michael B Jordan will soon be taking on the role of the Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in the 2015 reboot of the Fantastic Four franchise, tackling a lead role alongside his That Awkward Moment co-star Miles Teller as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Kate Mara as Sue Storm/The Invisible Woman, and Jamie Bell as Ben Grimm/The Thing. And in Vegas to help out aspiring filmmakers, Jordan talked about the appeal of being a part of the new Fantastic Four film and his character’s fire effects. He also confirmed he had tried out for J.J. Abrams’ Star Wars, but wouldn’t say which character he had hoped to play.
