‘Captain America: Civil War’ with Chris Evans Starts Filming

Filming is now underway on Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War, the third Captain America film starring Chris Evans in the title role and with Captain America: The Winter Soldier directors Anthony and Joe Russo back at the helm. Filming will take place in Atlanta, Georgia at Pinewood Studios as well as in Germany, Puerto Rico, and Iceland, with Marvel and Disney aiming for a May 6, 2016 theatrical release.

In addition to announcing the start of production, Marvel confirmed the cast list for Captain America: Civil War:

The Plot: Captain America: Civil War picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
