Justified‘s Margo Martindale took home her first Emmy in a very competitive category. Martindale faced stiff competition from Kelly Macdonald (Boardwalk Empire), Archie Panjabi (The Good Wife), Christine Baranski (The Good Wife), Michelle Forbes (The Killing), and Christina Hendricks (Mad Men) but in the end the Emmy voters went with the 60 year old actress who played a weed dealer you wouldn’t want to mess with.
Accepting her Emmy, Martindale acknowledged, “Sometimes things just take time. But with time comes great appreciation.”
