Trace Adkins and Danica Patrick to Co-Host American Country Awards

American Country AwardsFox says Trace Adkins will return as co-host for this year’s American Country Awards celebrating Country music. NASCAR driver Danica Patrick’s been tapped to work alongside Adkins who will be making his fourth appearance as the award show’s host at the December 10, 2013 event taping in Las Vegas.

The American Country Awards are different from other awards shows as the winners are determined by fan votes. This year’s show is being directed by Michael Dempsey with Bob Bain executive producing.

“I’m so excited to host the American Country Awards with Trace Adkins,” stated Patrick in the official announcement of her involvement in the 2013 awards show. “I have no doubt he’ll be able to keep up with me. I’ve become a huge fan of country music since I came to NASCAR and have been fortunate to be in videos with Miranda Lambert and Colt Ford. This is going to be a really cool experience and I’m excited to be a part of it. It’s going to be a great show!”

“I can’t wait to see if I have what it takes to keep up with this racing superstar,” replied Adkins.

Fox also announced Adkins will perform “Carol of the Drum” with drummer Kenny Aronoff. The holiday song is off of his The King’s Gift Christmas album.
