Russell Hornsby’s ‘Hank Griffin’ is in on the secret world of Wesen and Grimms, and in season four of NBC’s hit series Grimm that knowledge will continue to help tremendously in his job as a homicide detective. “I don’t think it’s more about what can happen to Hank anymore, it’s more about actually how Hank can now be of service to others,” explained Hornsby during the 2014 San Diego Comic-Con. “David [Giuntoli] is without his power, his spiritual whatever – the Force – we’re on more common ground, so I think we have to rely on each other more. You know what I mean? I think we’re more equals.”

“We shot a scene where we go into the trailer and we see Trubel (played by Jacqueline Toboni) is already there at the trailer. We’re both kind of like, ‘Why are you there?’ and then we both kind of like catch ourselves, like, ‘Oh, that’s right.’ So instead of me being the one on the outside like, ‘Hey, I don’t know. I’m just here.’ Nick and Hank are both sitting there looking at Trubel like, ‘Got anything for us?’ So, that’s fun to play and [I’m] having a good time,” explained Hornsby. “We’ll see what happens. It’s going to be interesting.”
