Adele will be taking the stage to perform at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards on February 12th, marking her first live performance following successful surgery on her vocal cords. The Grammy winner had to cancel her US tour due to the surgery, taking five months off to rest, relax, and recover.
Commenting on the announcement, Adele stated, “I’m immensely proud to have been asked to perform at this year’s GRAMMY Awards. It’s an absolute honor to be included in such a night, and for it to be my first performance in months is very exciting and of course nerve-racking, but what a way to get back into it all.”
Adele’s up for six Grammys this year including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Album of the Year.
Also scheduled to perform at this year’s Grammys are Jason Aldean and Kelly Clarkson, Glen Campbell with The Band Perry and Blake Shelton, Coldplay and Rihanna, Foo Fighters, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Nicki Minaj, and Taylor Swift. Grammy winner LL Cool J has been tapped to host the event which will be broadcast on CBS from 8-11:30pm (ET/PT).
